In this episode of the 411 Live, Beverly Taylor talks to Juan Bucio, a laser tattoo removal specialist, Niki Hughes, a tattoo artist, and Laura Johnson, someone who’s able to bring a personal perspective to the connection between tattoos and the sex trafficking world.

We discuss the tattoo and branding aspect of sex trafficking. The way pimps take their victims to get a tattoo is a sign of branding, a modern-day slavery tactic. As a survivor, Laura Johnson shares her story with us from the beginning and how things led to being tattooed. The horrific experience and how it’s affecting her till this very day. We also talk to Juan, a tattoo removal specialist, and Nikki, a tattoo artist, and the experience they’ve had with helping trafficked survivors. Join Beverly Taylor and guests as we embark into the world of tattoo branding, the signs that it’s happening, and where to find help to get it removed or covered.
