In this episode of the 411 Live, Beverly Taylor is joined again by Dr. Angela Rabbit, DO, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Dr. Wendi Ehrman, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Adolescent Medicine Specialist at Children’s Hospital as they talk about how the medical world can help survivors of sex trafficking.

Dr. Angela Rabbit and Dr. Wendi Ehrman lead the discussion into a topic that a lot of us often forget, adults. When thinking of victims of sex trafficking, it’s easy for us to shift quickly to kids but we also need to look for adults as well. We dive into the process of how medical professionals are should be trained to handle situations with survivors of sex trafficking from the right terms to use to every step that needs to be taken after that. There has been progress in how the medical field prepares and approaches the world of sex trafficking. There are always areas that can be improved on and Dr. Wendi Ehrman and Dr. Angela Rabbit talk about those who are willing to learn and what they can do to prepare themselves to treat a person who has been trafficked. Join Beverly Taylor and our guests as we get real. This is the 411 Live.
