In this episode of The 411 Live, we’re joined by Shawn Muhammad, Co-Executive Director of Asha. Sam Alford, a Community Organizer, writer, and poet. And Khalio Borum, a licensed professional Counselor. They have gathered to talk about how men and boys handle sexual abuse and heal.

Healing, a subject that needs to be covered more often. For far too long, men and boys have been told to stop crying, suck it up, don’t show your emotions. This can be dangerous for so many reasons and even more so for those who are victims of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. It can be hard to tell someone that you have experienced sexual assault or abuse.  Healing can begin when a man or boy recognizes the possible connection between his life experiences and talking about it.

Join us for part 2 of How do Men and Boys Handle Sexual Abuse and Heal.  We continue our conversation with Shawn Muhammad, Co-Executive Director of Asha. Sam Alford, a Community Organizer, writer, poet and Khalio Borum, a licensed professional Counselor about sex trafficking and sexual abuse within the male community, but also the healing process and practice that takes place after. This is The 411 Live. Real People. Real Talk.
